ABOUT ME

NICE TO MEET YOU

My name is David and I am a building services engineer with over two decades of experience in the built environment, on both consulting and contractor sides of the business. I have worked in 6 countries on 3 different continents; from 4 season countries to single-season humid tropical climates. I am passionate about designing laboratories and cleanrooms and low energy-sustainable designs.

I am based in Singapore, working for a reputable consulting firm as a senior associate director. I am a subject matter expert in laboratory and cleanroom design. Actively practicing hands-on design.  My experience in this specialist field involves designing large-scale laboratory/healthcare/manufacturing buildings (65,000m2), BSL-3, and BSL-2 facilities, from forensic science laboratories to reference and research labs, and hardened laboratory facilities (laboratories in a civil defense shelter).

HOBBIES

I am passionate about all sorts of sports, generally an outdoorsy person. My daily go-to workout is body-weight HIITs at a nearby park.

Avid kiteboarder. I have been kiteboarding for about 8 years. Kitesurfing brought me to many beautiful places like the Philippines, Taiwan, islands in Indonesia, Cambodia, and many more.

Passion motorbikes. Be it riding through the desert of Mongolia on a dirt bike or riding up on the winding roads in the Alps.

Wakeboard, wake-surf enthusiast. This used to be a big passion for me for over a decade but nowadays got limited time to enjoy these activities.
